**The event will be held in Italian**
Friday, 16 January at 6 p.m. at Jodok, Via Ippocrate 45, Milan:
“The Invention of Tomorrow. Dialogues Around Stories that Change the Future.”
Closing event of the activities of YECEI (Young Entrepreneurs of Creative Environmental Imagery), a PRIN-PNRR research project involving the University of Milan-Bicocca, the University of Pavia and the University of Milan.
The Bicocca University team explored how climate fiction writers interpret the climate crisis and act in favour of ecological well-being. YECEl has also organised a literary competition in collaboration with Agenzia X entitled “Apocalypse Tomorrow”, for young people aged between 18 and 35.
Programme
1. Introduction, 10 min (Lorenzo Zaffaroni)
2. Round table, 45 min (Presentations by Michele Turazzi, Caterina Orsenigo, Danilo Zagaria)
3. Short break
4. Audience participation, 1 hour (with contributions from those who participated in the literary contest)
The aim of the YECEI research project was to establish a dialogue between academic research and the publishing, literary and activist worlds. The closing event at Jodok offers a space for discussion – between different actors in the literary field and beyond – on the social imaginaries of the future that emerge from climate fiction.
